DIANE NG is a creative producer and director based in New York by way of Hong Kong, with a sharp visual eye and penchant for playful experimentation.
Primarily a film and commercial producer/director, her experience spans from commercials and concert visuals to indie short films and cookbook shoots. Diane also has an interest in creating community through food experiences — she is a lead event producer with the cult literary food magazine Cake Zine, ranging from restaurant pop-ups to readings and launch parties.
Her feature debut Hummingbirds (now streaming on Criterion Collection) won the Grand Prix for best feature film in Berlinale Generation 2023, was nominated for the Independent Spirit Awards for Best Documentary, and also selected as Indiewire & New York Times Critic’s Pick. Her work is supported by Sundance, Field of Vision, and SFFILM, among others. She is also a 2020 NBCU Original Voices Fellow.
